Russian and Assad warplanes kill 22 civilians in Damascus (Video)

At least 22 people were killed and dozens were wounded by aerial and artillery shelling on residential areas in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta region of Damascus on Sunday.

In particular, 15 people including children have died in an air attack carried out by Russian warplanes on the Zamalka suburb of Damascus, activists said.

Other seven people were killed by artillery shelling by Syrian government forces in the Duma suburb.

On last Friday, at least 40 civilians were killed by air attacks on residential areas in the Jesreen and Kafar Batna suburbs of Eastern Ghouta. Among the victims also children and women.
