Russian and Assad warplanes kill at least 40 civilians in Eastern Ghouta (Video)

Dozens of air strikes carried out by the Syrian Air Force and by warplanes believed to be Russian targeted since Sunday morning several areas of the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta region of Damascus leaving at least 40 people killed, including children, and tens of wounded among civilians after schools and residential areas were hit as a result.

Most the victims were killed in the nine air attacks on the Duma suburb, while other five victims were reported in the Saqba suburb.

Aerial bombardment targeted residential areas also in the Hammouriyeh, Arbeen, Zamalka, Ein Tarama, Harasta, Jesreen, Kafar Batna and Al Marj suburbs.

Medical points are calling for blood donors to come forward due to the high number of civilians wounded by the air strikes.
