Russian and Assad forces intensify their attack on rebel-held areas of central Aleppo
Russian and Syrian government forces have intensified their attack on rebel-held areas of central Aleppo and its province killing at least 86 civilians and leaving dozens of wounded on Wednesday; among the victims women and children, activists said.
In particular, air strikes carried out by Russian warplanes targeted Batabo, a village located west of Aleppo, leaving more than 20 dead and 40 wounded among civilians, as well as the southern village of Al Samariyah.
In central Aleppo, artillery and aerial bombardment by Syrian regime forces and Russian warplanes targeted the Sekkari, Shaar, Sakhour, Ansari, Karam Al Beik, Ferdous, Tareeq Al Bab and Masaken Hanano neighborhoods. At least 12 the victims in the Shaar neighborhood and 11 those in the Sekkari district, most of them children lining up to get water.
